Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya, one of the aspirants for the post of National Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC), has told delegates of Constituency 113 in the Western Area Urban that his main focus, if he eventually becomes the party Secretary General, is to bring all APCiers together.

He disclosed that up till now, he had not endorsed any candidate for the party’s flagbearer for the 2023 presidential election because his aim was to see that he unite the party. He said that some years ago, he approached the party’s key stakeholders expressing his intention to head the party’s Secretariat and that he got their blessings.

When  asked to clarify whether he was a member of the Sam Sumana camp, NRM or the Peter Conteh camp; he noted that how could he support Sam Samuna when he was not a member of his party. He pointed out that he had never been to Sam Sumana’s residence.

With regards to Peter Conteh and the NRM, he said that he was one of the lawyers who defended the party in court when NRM and Peter Conteh took the party to court.

Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya also informed delegates that if he wins the party’s Secretary General position, he would bring the party’s membership card closer to all constituencies by using a new technology wherein in all constituencies would have access to a software to register their members.

He disclosed that he had served the party for over 25 years now and that in all those years, he opted for the same position thrice with no success, but yet he had never come out and challenge the party’s decision.
