Audit Service Sierra Leone (ASSL) reports in its Report for the financial year 2021 that the sum totalling Le28, 125, 000 was paid as sitting fees to board members for which minutes of the board meeting were not presented for audit purposes.

The auditors also discovered that Le24,050,000 were paid as sitting fees to board members who were absent for board meetings.

It is reported that evidence justifying payments of the said amount were not provided for audit verification and the issue of the Le52,175,000, therefore, remains unresolved.
