Honourable Mohamed Billor Shaw, representing Dembelia-Sikunia, Dembelia- Musaia, Folosaba-Kamba Chiefdoms and some sections in Kebelai Chiefdom in Constituency 39 in Falaba District, has embarked on a “Thank You” tour of his constituency.
During the tour, which ended last Sunday at the Bindi Court Baray in Falaba District, Hon. Billor Shaw, who is also representing the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in Parliament, disclosed that the tour was organised by the people of Falaba District to show their appreciation to him for the good work he had been doing in that district.
Among the things he has done are the provision of safe drinking water; the provision of electricity supply; the establishment of a radio station, and the going rehabilitation of health centres with oxygen facilities in them. He has also helped in the improvements on education in Falaba District.
Dressed in his traditional Fullah regalia, Hon. Billor Shaw said that, “Falaba District will continue to support the SLPP” and that they had a “responsibility to propagate the party’s ideology to the people of Sierra Leone”.
He assured his constituents that he would do everything within his reach to ensure that “the Falaba Road becomes a reality for the betterment of Falaba District.” He encouraged them to treat every individual the way they wanted to be treated in other to ensure peace in the district,
Another MP for Falaba District, Hon. Alhaji Foday Maddie Jabbie, thanked the outgoing SLPP Falaba District executives and appealed to the newly elected ones to work equally, if not more harder than the outgoing executives, so that come 2028; the SLPP would be able to retain power.
The SLPP District Chairman for Falaba District, Yayah Wan in his statement, noted that SLPP supporters in Dembelia-Sunkunia had always given their support to their party. He added that Hon. Mohamed Billor Shaw was not a mistake to Falaba District since 2018, as he had done extremely well in Falaba Town and District.
The SLPP Women’s Leader in Falaba District thanked the people for welcoming Hon. Billor Shaw and appealed to her womenfolk to continue to stand by their MP by giving him the necessary support for the benefit of Falaba District.
