The Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, along with her deputy, Kweku Lisk, Chief Administrator Rahman Tom Farmar, and other FCC staff on Tuesday met with the Implementation Support Mission of the World Bank’s Resilient Urban Sierra Leone Project (RUSLP).
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of RUSLP projects for which Freetown City Council is the beneficiary. The World Bank delegation was led by Francis Samson Nkoka, Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist and PIU Lead Anthony Koroma.
The World Bank RUSLP support covers several initiatives, namely the #FreetownTheTreeTown, three Informal Settlement Upgrades, the development of a Western Area Regional Structure Plan, and development of a Freetown Structure Plan.
The World Bank continues to be a key donor partner supporting FCC’s Transform Freetown-Transforming Lives Development Agenda.
