Afrimoney Sierra Leone last Thursday (22 February) signed a partnership with MiKashBoks at Africell-SL’s No.1 Pivot Street headquarters at Wilberforce in Freetown.

The partnership is aimed at demonstrating the high level of the safety and convenient of Afrimoney mobile cash transfer at all times.

Afrimoney’s Managing Director, Martison Obeng-Gyei in his statement, observed that no little amount was small to save. “We are partnering with MiKashBoks not just for financial inclusion but also for safety and convenience”, he assured.

Martison Obeng-Gyei pointed out that the Osusu scheme had been with Afrimoney for years also reassuring that it shall always continue to be with the network. He reiterated that the partnership was also set to digitalize the Osusu scheme, which won’t in anyway fade away. He furthered that “challenges do not last long; we have never had issues that have lasted for several hours”.

The partnership Manager at the Corporate Sales Department, Alfred Lavallie said MiKashBoks joined Afrimoney to enhance financial inclusion. He added that the partnership would provide a better solution.

The Marketing and Communications Lead at MiKashBoks, Nafisatu Jones, described the brand as a financial group with an Osusu scheme which was founded by Salton Masally shortly after he dropped out of school due to financial challenges.

MiKashBoks, she explained, “now has over seven thousand customers since it was launched in August 2023”. She referred to Afrimoney as one of the best brands in the country.

Africell’s Corporate Affairs Director, Joe Abass Bangura, recalled that MiKasgBoks was unveiled in 2013 and expressed profound delight to form part of the partnership with Afrimoney.
