Dr Ibrahim Bangura, one of the contenders for the All People’s Congress (APC) Flagbearer, has completed the second phase of his countrywide “Iftar” tours that saw him visiting Falaba, Koinadugu, Bombali, Tonkolili, and Karene Districts.
During the first phase of his “Iftar” tours, he visited Kambia and Port Loko Districts including Madina, Tonko Limba, and Mambolo where his team and himself delivered hundreds of bags of rice and cooking oil to Muslims who were observing the holy month of Ramadan.
Throughout those tours, Dr Bangura preached peace, unity, and reconciliation in the APC. He repeatedly stated that his visits were to fulfill his sacred obligation which was “Zakat” (“Charity”, which is one of the five pillars of Islam) rather than engage in political discourse.
Everywhere he visited, there were overwhelming turnouts of APC party faithful, particularly women and the elderly, who welcomed him with open arms.
In each district, he made significant donations, reinforcing his commitment to the wellbeing of his compatriots.
One APC stalwart noted that, “Dr Ibrahim Bangura’s countrywide Iftar tours are testaments of his commitment to giving back to the communities he hopes to serve”.
The third phase of Dr Ibrahim Bangura’s Iftar tours will see him and his team visiting the southern and eastern districts of Sierra Leone.
