The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared a war on “Kush”, one of the harmful substances that are killing young people in Sierra Leone.
Last weekend the Executive Director, Andrew Jaiah Kaikai, embarked on massive outreach and public sensitization from the east end of Freetown, engaging youths to resist temptation and value their lives.
Andrew Jaiah Kaikai said in one of the engagements that his mission was to educate them about the dangers of “Kush” and encouraged them to join the fight against drug abuse in the country.
He revealed that the future of the country was resting on their shoulders and that if they continue to consume such harmful substances they would not be able to make it to their potentials.
The NDLEA Executive Director visited several places in the east such as “Bormeh”, Kissy Mess Mess, Cassel Farm, and the Moeba Community where he reiterated the importance of youths staying away from “Kush” and other illegal drugs.
He also extended his outreach and public sensitization to the bike riders’ and the physically challenged.
