The Honourable Justice Adrian Fisher sitting in the High Court has, in a judgment delivered on 30th October 2023, approved the minutes of consent judgment arrived at and signed by the Parties and their solicitors for the final determination of the case between Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone Chapter LG against Alhaji Mohamed Sarjoh Jalloh (commonly known as MED SAJ), Abdul Razak Bah and Abdulai Barrie before him.

As previously reported in this medium, Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone Chapter LG (TPI SL)-(a not for profit entity set up in Sierra Leone to help indigent Fullahs and Sierra Leone, foster unity peace and progress amongst the Fullah Community). TPI is one of the national chapters of the federated organisation, Tabital Pulaaku International dedicated to the promotion of the affairs of Fullahs and friends of Fullahs around the world.

TPI commenced court action against Alhaji Mohamed Sarjoh Jalloh (commonly known as MED SAJ), Abdul Razak Bah and Abdulai Barrie, (the Defendants, for illegally masquerading that they are the persons in charge of Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone and seeking to hold functions in the country under the name Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone. The action sought a determination principally that the Plaintiff, TPI SL, is the sole entity to operate as the national chapter of Tabital Pulaaku International in Sierra Leone.

In an agreement said to have been brokered by the Elders of the Fullah Community under the guidance of no less a person than the Honourable Vice President of the Republic, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, the parties and all stakeholders agreed to acknowledge and recognize Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sow as the President of Tabital Pulaaku in Sierra Leone as the legitimate Representative of Tabital Pulaaku in Sierra Leone. Steps are also to be taken to communicate to the leadership of Tabital Pulaaku International the federated entity of the terms of the agreement and judgment of the Court. The stakeholders in the Fullah Community have committed to work in good faith to support the implementation of the judgment of the Court.

The judgment is said to have come as welcome news to members of the Fullah Community who had been caught up in this battle for the leadership of Tabital Pulaaku International in Sierra Leone. Members of the executive of Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone Chapter contacted report that Alhaji Juldeh Sowe, as he is commonly called, and the entire executive remain committed to working for the betterment of the lives of members of the Fullah Community and Sierra Leoneans. This demonstrates the genuine commitment for lasting peace in the Fullah Community in Sierra Leone. They reaffirm their commit to work with all stakeholders to promote Fullah unity in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Speaking after the judgment was handed down on October 30th Alhaji Juldeh Sowe said, “I am happy that the truth has prevailed, and I look forward to working with my brothers and sister for the benefit of our people and country.”

Senior members of the Fullah Community spoken to express joy at the resolution of this issue; stating that they are confident Alhaji Juldeh Sowe will continue his contribution to Human Capital Development and do more for his people and transform lives.
