Tuesday was an historic day at the Kiosk Field, Allen Town east of the capital when, for the first time in the recent history of Constituency 113, Hon. Rugiatu Rosy Kanu presented her five years scorecard to her constituents.
Hon. Rugiatu Rosy Kanu catalogued her achievements since she was elected Member of Parliament for Constituency 113 covering Wards 399, 400 and 401 in Allen Town and its environs.
She highlighted her achievements as boosting education by supplying learning materials to school-going pupils; supporting the health sector by paying annual rent for the health centre at “Deeper Life”; advocating for women’s inclusion in politics during debates in the well of Parliament; supporting youth groups in her constituency; providing building materials for religious houses; providing food for orphanage homes; the construction of a multi-purpose hall, the construction of the water dam which is serving over six communities within the constituency among others.
After highlighting her achievements, Hon. Rugiatu Rosy Kanu declared her re-election bid to represent her constituents now under the Proportional Representation (PR) system.
During Tuesday’s declaration, constituents were given the opportunity to ask questions, make suggestions or critique the MP where they think she did not deliver or perform.
