Madina Rahman is the latest former minister, in the erstwhile government of Ernest Bai Koroma, who has endorsed the leading flagbearer contender for the All People’s Congress (APC), Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, to be the party’s standard bearer in this year’s presidential election.

She did the endorsement on Tuesday this week at the “SamuraKamara2023 Movement Headquarters” at Wellington Street in Freetown. She also donated a vehicle to the Movement to help in transporting staff to and from political events.

Madina Rahman explained all the positive qualities of Dr Samura Kamara. She spoke about his experience, his ability to listen to people and be an advocate for their cause and his dedication towards his work. She insisted that Dr Samura Kamara was the only one who could bring real change to the country and was the best option for the post of flagbearer.

The former Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation talked about the importance of the individuals voting and not allowing anyone else to influence their votes. She urged all the individuals present not to allow themselves to be manipulated by outside forces and to choose the candidate that they truly felt was right for the country.

From the deafening applause, it was clear that Madina Rahman’s endorsement and that of so many other people could undeniably impact the flagbearer election outcome. Dr Samura Kamara is backed by the majority of the APC grassroots and is widely believed to be the most suitable APC flagbearer to lead the party for the June presidential election.
